Welcome to Giles Photography & The Frame Works • Eau Claire, Wisconsin
“Do we have to have our pictures taken at a specific time?”
No. Pets may be photographed any time during our normal studio hours which are Tuesday through Friday, 9am to 5pm. We schedule sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. If you would like your pets portrait created on the weekend or after hours, additional fees will apply.

“Do we need to make an appointment?” Yes! Our studio operates by appointment only. Please call ahead to ensure that we have a session available for you and your pet.

“Is there one thing I really need to know?” Yes. Please take your pet outside so your pet has a chance to take care of their necessities. Also, we are on a very busy highway so please keep your pet on a leash. We don't want either of these to lead to any accidents.

“When do we get to see the photographs?” Immediately following the session.

“When do we order?” We encourage that you order immediately following the session, but you do have up to seven days to make your decisions and take advantage of any special pricing and packages. After seven days our regular prices will go into effect. Beyond seven days our studio will not be held responsible for your unordered images.

“How long does it take after we order to get our finished portraits?” This varies by season. We average around four weeks for pets year-round. During the summer and through the end of October, it may take longer because of the number of high school seniors that we photograph and dealing with yearbook deadlines. During the winter months is our slowere time of the year and the portraits will likely be ready in 2-3 weeks. We will, of course, contact you if your portraits get done any earlier. We also can rush orders for an additional fee if there is an immediate need for the portraits.

“Is there a minimum order?” There is not a minimum order, exept for Puppy Parts.

“How do we know when our final order is ready to be picked up?” We will either give you a call or drop you a note in the mail. Let us know which you prefer while you are here for your session. Make sure you give us the appropriate method of contact if this is a surprise for someone.

“What do I do when my portraits are ready?” We will call you as soon as your portraits are ready or send you a notification via mail. No part of your order can be picked up without being paid for in full. Orders left at the studio for 30 days past your initial notification may be subject to a $3 per month storage fee. The studio will not be responsible for orders left at the studio beyond 60 days.

“What if I want my order shipped to me?” If you would like your final order shipped you via UPS, please let us know. There is a $10 - $15 shipping and handling fee per shipping location. This fee also includes shipping insurance. The order must be paid in full prior to shipping.

“What if I get my final order back and there is something wrong with my order?” Tell us! Please! We want you to love your pet’s portraits. Anything less is unacceptable. You have the right to return or exchange your portraits if you are unhappy with them. All you have to do is bring in everything you want replaced and we will take care of the rest. We want to make sure you are happy with your final portrait, so just be honest.

“What is all this stuff about copyrights?” The images you purchase are the property of Giles Photography. The images are protected by the revised U.S. Copyright Statute of January 1, 1978 (Title 17 of the U.S. Code) and may not be copied (either photographically or on a copy machine), scanned, or reproduced in any way without written permission of the photographer. Permission to copy may be granted upon payment of a minimum copy charge of $500 per original image for any photographic reproduction. Illegal reproductions are punishable by federal law. You are probably wondering why. It's really very simple, the quality of our work is our reputation. Printing of images that we are not able to control will likely be of an inferior quality and will reflect poorly on us.

“But I bought it, so it’s ours...right?” No. You purchased copies of the image on photographic paper. You own the piece of paper to keep and enjoy, but you do not have any reproduction rights. Giles Photography retains all rights to the original image.

“What if I have more questions?” Your questions are important to us. We are available to answer your questions during our normal studio hours at 715.834.2993 or toll free at 877.TW.GILES (877.894.4537). We are open Tuesday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
